The prestigious distinction follows 18 consecutive years of successful RoSPA award entries, marking a significant milestone for the business and reflecting the strength of our health and safety culture across all operations.

The Order of Distinction is awarded to organisations that have demonstrated consistent excellence and leadership in health and safety, and this latest recognition highlights VolkerFitzpatrick’s embedded approach to safety, underpinned by strong governance, shared accountability and continual improvement.

Andy Battye, Health and Safety Director said, “This award reflects not only individual effort but the collective commitment across the business to embedding strong safety leadership and continual improvement.”

This year’s achievement is especially significant as it coincides with the 70th anniversary of the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, a landmark year celebrating seven decades of progress, leadership and life‑saving work across the global safety community. As an internationally recognised benchmark of excellence, the RoSPA Awards honour organisations, teams and projects for their unwavering commitment to protecting lives and setting the highest standards in workplace safety.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said:

“Well done to VolkerFitzpatrick on their RoSPA Health and Safety Award. The high standards VolkerFitzpatrick has achieved are the result of hard work and dedication, of which the organisation should be rightfully proud and which RoSPA is delighted to honour.

2026 is a landmark year for the RoSPA Awards as we reflect on how far workplace safety has come in 70 years. It is because of the commitment of health and safety leaders like VolkerFitzpatrick that people today are safer at work than in the past, setting an inspiring example for the future.”
