VolkerFitzpatrick’s Ash Road project team recently won a CCS bronze award at the National Site Awards 2025 held at the Brewery in London on the 29th of April!

They received their award for their commitment to social value. Over £13m has been generated in social value by donating white goods to local families in need of support, participating in careers fairs to inspire the next generation into construction and involving residents in naming the bridge.
They also contributed £15,000 to fund a youth worker for a year, supporting the reopening of the local youth club and providing young people with a safe space and have volunteered a total of 198 hours of student engagement.
Chioma Fanawopo, social value and stakeholder manager said “As the Social Value Manager for the Chester Bridge project, I'm proud to share the significant contributions we've made to the Ash community over the past 18 months. Collectively, these efforts have amounted to a social value contribution of £13million - just over £5million of this went to the local community. We're delighted to have made a positive impact and legacy to the residents of Ash.”

An additional congratulations to our Hornsea 3 team for winning a CCS bronze award!
