Now in their 68th year, the International Safety Awards celebrate organisations around the world that have demonstrated excellence in preventing workplace injuries and work‑related ill health. The awards also highlight employers who champion wellbeing and mental health in the workplace.

Our achievements include a Distinction for our Tritax Big Box project in Biggleswade, a Merit for our work at Sizewell C and a further four on projects as part of the Southern Renewal Enterprise (SRE).

Andy Battye, Health and Safety Director at VolkerFitzpatrick, commented: “This recognition from the British Safety Council reinforces our ongoing strategy and unwavering commitment to keeping our people and workplaces healthy and safe. By doing so, we continue to create an environment of excellence for our employees, clients and stakeholders. This achievement would not have been possible without the commitment, diligence and professionalism of our teams and the authors who submitted the entries — well done to everyone involved!”

Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, congratulated the business, saying: “Congratulations to VolkerFitzpatrick on winning an International Safety Award 2026. This achievement reflects your commitment to protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of your workforce. Your dedication sets a strong example for organisations everywhere. Well done — you should be incredibly proud.”

These awards highlight VolkerFitzpatrick’s continued dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety and wellbeing across its projects, and its ongoing efforts to ensure every colleague returns home safe and well each day.
