VolkerFitzpatrick Hosts Women’s Network Event at Hoddesdon Head Office
VolkerFitzpatrick proudly hosted our second women’s networking event at our Hoddesdon Head Office on Tuesday 10th March. The event welcomed almost 100 women from VolkerFitzpatrick, centred around the inspiring International Women’s Day theme “Give to Gain.”
The morning featured a series of engaging, interactive sessions delivered by Lisa Callaghan, Contracts Manager and Louise Taylor-Hodgson, Managing Surveyor, who shared their personal journeys in both the construction industry and VolkerFitzpatrick, followed by an external speaker Lynn Tomkins from the award‑winning diversity and inclusion training provider Skills 4. The event concluded with lunch and a valuable networking session providing colleagues the opportunity to connect, exchange insights and build new relationships across departments and disciplines.
These events play a vital role in demonstrating our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workforce as we recognise that diversity brings a wider range of perspectives, stronger collaboration, and a richer pool of experiences, ultimately enhancing business performance.
Our women’s networking event was a fantastic opportunity to build networks and communication across the business, creating a sense of community and shared purpose. It was really inspiring to hear from our speakers, share learnings and see the engagement from everyone in the room.
