James joined VolkerFitzpatrick in November 2022 as Managing Director. James has a major projects background and is experienced in both Public and Private sector work spanning the UK. With over 30 years of industry experience, James has held a variety of business leadership positions, with particular experience in defence, aviation, custodial, health, science, education, residential and commercial sector work.

Commercial Director
Simon joined VolkerFitzpatrick as Commercial Director in July 2026, bringing extensive experience in the delivery of major infrastructure projects across the UK. Prior to joining the business, Simon was Commercial Director for Skanska's Infrastructure Division. He has worked across the highways, rail, water, power and major infrastructure sectors, with a strong track record in commercial leadership, governance and the successful delivery of complex projects and programmes.

Jo has been with VolkerWessels UK for 13 years, during which time she has accumulated a wealth of experience of our business and the wider construction and civil engineering industry. Jo was promoted to Finance Director for VolkerFitzpatrick in 2023 - and has represented VolkerWessels UK at various Build UK industry working groups over the years.

Divisional Director - Airside
Kevin joined VolkerFitzpatrick in 2000 and specialises in the aviation side of the business. Kevin established and continues to lead, our dedicated airfields team, offering his technical and operational expertise to deliver projects safely and effectively in the airfield environment.

Managing Director - Building
Stuart joined VolkerFitzpatrick as Managing Director of our building division in early 2017, bringing with him 30 years of experience within the construction industry. His experience is varied including the refurbishment of listed buildings, high profile office schemes, new build education and technical spaces.

Paul Lilley
Divisional Director - Strategic Projects
In 2012, Paul joined VolkerFitzpatrick as Project Director, delivering part of the IEP Depot programme for Hitachi Rail Europe. Paul brings over 30 years of diverse experience in civil engineering, highways, groundworks, and rail for main contractors, clients, and subcontractors. Additionally, he has over 12 years' experience managing the design and construction of depots.

Divisional Director - Infrastructure
Deon joined VolkerFitzpatrick in 2002 and was promoted to Divisional Director of Infrastructure. With 25 years' of experience, his work has spanned the construction of roads, bridges, structural refurbishments, flood defences, ports, airfield infrastructure, industrial buildings, and developments within the energy sector.
