The Ground Engineering Awards  are in their sixteenth year, and last year it brought together 1,000 clients, contractors, designers and geotechnical experts for an evening of celebration, recognition and networking.

In the Spring of 2023, the VolkerFitzpatrick team swiftly mobilised to rectify a landslip at Hook in Hampshire, following extremely heavy rainfall. The works were accomplished safely and on time and led to further work being awarded to futureproof the areas either side of the impacted area.

Lee Clifton, contracts manager for VolkerFitzpatrick, said: “It’s fantastic to see our work at Hook shortlisted by the Ground Engineering awards. The teams, from VolkerFitzpatrick, VolkerRail and our network of suppliers, worked so hard to achieve the project at Hook, while ensuring safety was paramount. I want to thank everyone that contributed to it running smoothly and on time.”
