The Above and Beyond Awards 2020 celebrate the achievements of CRASH Patron companies, who have supported the charity and their work this year. The awards recognise companies who have gone above and beyond, by channelling their professional expertise, construction projects and fundraising, to build places that care for homeless people, as well as children and adults who need end of life care in a hospice.

VolkerFitzpatrick received the 2020 award for its involvement in the lounge refurbishment for 140 residents at Caritas Anchor House, a centre helping with homelessness, and the dining room extension at Greenwich and Bexley Hospice.

Commenting, Francesca Roberts, chief executive for CRASH, said: “VolkerFitzpatrick truly went above and beyond at Caritas Anchor House and Greenwich and Bexley Hospice. VolkerFitzpatrick really grasped the CRASH ethos, and involved as many of CRASH’s other Patrons, and their own supply chain as possible to deliver the project at the lowest possible price. Huge savings were generated with the charities only having to pay a fraction of the commercial value.”

By using our expertise, we have helped to create places that care for people when they are at their most vulnerable.
