Recent

VolkerFitzpatrick is one of ten contractors who have secured a place on Gatwick Airport's £1.2 billion new major works framework, which will deliver a programme of improvements and upgrades across the airport comprising of both building and civil engineering packages.

The four-year framework will let contracts of between £30m and £50m on average, and up to £80m. Works will involve complex design, mechanical, electrical, engineering, construction works and management services.

Gatwick's innovative approach to risk management is at the heart of the new contracts - focusing on getting the best value, not just lowest price, that ensures maximum efficiency and a greater emphasis on safety and engagement working with its 10 contractors.

Richard Offord, managing director of VolkerFitzpatrick, said: "We are delighted to be strengthening our relationship with Gatwick airport. VolkerFitzpatrick can provide a wide range of the services required ‘under one roof' and with our in-house specialist teams we can provide the comfort of full control over quality, value engineering, health and safety and sustainability."

A number of VolkerFitzpatrick's divisions can provide services for the framework including the building and civils teams, the paving team and the facilities management and maintenance teams.
