VolkerFitzpatrick has begun the design and construction of a £22.8m state of the art office facility in Weybridge, Surrey.

The two buildings, designed by architects TPBennett being constructed alongside the existing facilities at the Bourne Business Park, will provide 90,000ft2 of high quality office accommodation as well as a 4,000ft2 café and multi-level parking structure.

The brownfield site, which has been vacant for a number of years, will provide quality accommodation for companies within easy reach of central London and major transport routes.

Alan Clark, project manager for VolkerFitzpatrick said: “We are delighted to be undertaking this high profile project for LaSalle Investment Management. The existing facilities at the Bourne Business Park are of a very high standard and home to a number of leading companies. We will deliver a high specification project that will provide companies with quality office accommodation for years to come.

“VolkerFitzpatrick places great importance in completing projects to a high standard that meet the needs of our clients and these buildings will be constructed in line with the BREEAM classification to achieve an Excellent rating once complete.”

Andrew Derry, development director at LaSalle Investment Management said: “We are delighted to be working with VolkerFitzpatrick on this very exciting, speculative scheme. We believe that building two offices of 40,000ft2 and 50,000ft2 (net) will be very attractive to occupiers where there is a current shortage in Grade A supply. The offices have fantastic parking with 470 spaces which is unique for a new office scheme; safeguarded from an earlier planning consent.”

The project will also see extensive exterior landscaping and an access track for the Environment Agency to maintain and protect the River Wey.

The works began in July with piling activities undertaken by sister company, VolkerGround Engineering and the project is expected to be completed in September 2016.
