This project was split into two office buildings. The first building was a completely new build while the second utilised the steel frame and concrete floors of an existing office, which had already been stripped down by VolkerFitzpatrick.
The construction of the new build included all demolition, piled foundations, insitu RC frame (including fair faced internal circular columns), glazed curtain walling (including acoustically glazed panels, feature canopies and reception areas), raised access flooring, suspended ceilings, full air conditioning and photo electric lighting.
This project was completed adjacent to a live rail line and close liaison with Network Rail was required, particularly with regard to health and safety methodology.
VolkerFitzpatrick were integral members of the pre-construction team and worked in partnership with Terrace Hill and the project designers to complete the design, including the pricing of various options as well as incorporating value engineering, programming and build ability.
