This project was negotiated with the Client, Segro (formerly Slough Estates), which is their preferred procurement route.
VolkerFitzpatrick worked closely with Segro and the design team to work up the scheme, including value engineering and pricing different options.
The project comprised of 21 units constructed with Structural Steel framework on pad foundations, with steel sheet roof cladding and a variety of wall cladding sheeting types.
External works comprised of asphalt roads, concrete yards and block paved footpaths.
The first unit was completed in 28 weeks, and the remainder by week 36, on time and within budget. All units were sold prior to completion and VolkerFitzpatrick Facilities Management carried out the fit out to 3 of the units.
Segro were delighted with VolkerFitzpatrick's performance on this project and as a result, have subsequently negotiated a further project in Radlett of a similar size.
