VolkerFitzpatrick has a 'culture of excellence and high performance'

Recent

Civil engineering and building contractor, VolkerFitzpatrick has achieved a third successful Investors in People (IIP) accreditation; totalling nine years of consecutive recognition for staff development and communication.

The IIP accreditation, which lasts three years, was reviewed earlier this year involving interviews with all levels of the workforce.

The IIP assessor praised the company, saying: "It continues to remain genuinely committed to workforce development; a commitment that is demonstrated within an extremely strong learning culture. It is very clear that the organisation believes that its people are its greatest asset and continues to make substantial investments in education, learning and development."

The review report concluded that VolkerFitzpatrick demonstrated, among other things, a culture of excellence and high performance, a very loyal and committed workforce of people are justly proud of what they do and an overriding sense of organisation, team-work and trust.

Elaine Stroud, Head of Human Resources, said: "I am delighted that we have achieved accreditation. Being recognised by IIP is important to many of our clients, who want to work with organisations that value employees. More than that, it is important to our Board that our employees enjoy working for VolkerFitzpatrick.

"IIP is much more than an accreditation; it is very much about the whole employee experience of working for the Company. But we are not complacent and we intend to continue to build on what we have achieved over the next year."
