VolkerFitzpatrick begin work at Assembly London

A new development which will see a 114,000ft2 of state of the art offices created in Hammersmith has been started by VolkerFitzpatrick on behalf of Axa Real Estate and their development manager, Bell Hammer.

The £23m facility named ‘Foundry’ is being constructed as part of the prestigious “Assembly” London development on Fulham Palace Road. Phase one of the Assembly project comprises the development of two new TP Bennett designed buildings, Foundry and 1 Smith's Square, which between them will deliver 150,000ft2 (13,935m2) of new office space and 20,000ft2 (1,858m2) of retail and restaurant space.

Works to Foundry building include the back to frame refurbishment and extension of the original 1980s structure as well as the internal remodelling to create grade A office space with the largest single floor plates in the area.

Rakesh Chavda, VolkerFitzpatrick project manager said: “We are delighted to deliver ‘Foundry’ to compliment the rest of the planned development at “Assembly” London. “VolkerFitzpatrick has built a strong reputation for delivering quality, state of the art office facilities within the challenging London environment which we will continue in the construction of “Foundry.”  

The three acre, Assembly project will also feature the relandscaping of the public realm and refurbishment of an underground car park.                                                                       

Works to Foundry are expected to be complete in Q1 2017
