VolkerFitzpatrick achieves BS11000 Certification

VolkerFitzpatrick's rail division has now achieved the full certification to BS11000 following a successful second stage assessment in May 2014.

BS11000 is the world's first national standard for collaborative business relationships. The prestigious certification, which is being championed by Network Rail, recognises a company's ability to work in a collaborative manner with clients, partners and key stakeholders to drive continual improvement and deliver greater value for money.

VolkerFitzpatrick is the second VolkerWessels UK company to achieve BS11000 certification, and has qualified for the accreditation by successfully showcasing the divisions management system for customers, suppliers, internal department and external collaborator relationships identified and managed within their collaborative relation programme. Specific thanks was given by the auditors to those involved, for their assistance and co-operation which enabled the audit to run smoothly and to schedule.

This is just one of many examples where VolkerFitzpatrick has worked in partnership with a range of stakeholders in the industry to achieve mutual benefit.

John Cox managing director of rail for VolkerFitzpatrick, commented on the achievement: "I would like to thank everyone involved to make this accreditation possible. This award is further proof of our commitment to collaborative working as well as strengthening our standing as market leaders in joint ventures and alliance contracts.

VolkerFitzpatrick's rail division are looking at ways to continue to build on this achievement including current collaborations with VolkerRail and VolkerFitzpatrick's building division and a number of other projects in the future pipeline of works.
