Joint venture BMV (BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall, VolkerFitzpatrick) is inviting those with an interest in construction to a free, ‘behind the scenes’ look at the M5 Oldbury Viaduct site, which they are currently working on for Highways England. The site will be operating tours on 24 March 2018, as part of ‘Open Doors’ which is delivered by Build UK in partnership with CITB.

The event is free to attend, and visitors who book a place will hear what it is like to work on a construction site and learn about the different careers involved in a project such as this. They will also get an inside look at the works currently happening on-site and plans for developing the viaduct.

After an induction and safety briefing, visitors will head out on a tour of the site. They will then have the opportunity to ask questions and learn what it is like to work in the construction industry.

Chris Jones, project manager for VolkerFitzpatrick’s civils division said: “Events like this are a great opportunity for the next generation of construction professionals to come and see what the industry is all about. Anyone with an interest in projects like this should come along and see one for themselves.”

Please note that booking is essential for this event and visitors will not be admitted without pre-booking a place. Places are filling up fast, so visitors should book now to avoid disappointment. For more information and to book, visit: Open Doors Oldbury
