BREEAM capability

The BRE's Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) is a voluntary scheme that rewards those designs that take positive steps to minimise their environmental impacts. It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable building design, construction and operation and has become one of the most comprehensive and widely recognised measures of a building's environmental performance.

BREEAM

At VolkerFitzpatrick our licensed in-house assessors and BREEAM Accredited Professionals carry out pre-assessment studies on all tenders, evaluating effective strategies for compliance and to ensure targeted BREEAM ratings can be realised on our construction projects.

Building upon our longstanding experience of sustainable construction BREEAM requirements have been integrated into our standard practices. Applying this approach we have never failed to deliver a building to its targeted BREEAM rating.

Our experienced in-house assessors and BREEAM Accredited Professionals follow a tried and tested process to support the delivery of BREEAM certified buildings, ensuring that we:

  • Collaborate: Collaborate with clients and project teams to define an effective compliance strategy
  • Define: Define objectives, roles, responsibilities, actions at  workshops
  • Track: Track and report on progress during project from pre-design to completion
  • Deliver: Deliver a BREEAM building fully compliant with the targeted rating

VolkerFitzpatrick has delivered more than 50 projects to BREEAM certification standards, all of which have achieved a performance score of VERY GOOD or EXCELLENT, including our own award winning BREEAM Excellent Head Office.
